After a mostly grey day and a bout of torrential rain this morning it had settled down a bit, still overcast and a bit cooler, 58F.

We decided CJ needed a bit of fresh air so he should come with me every now and then... I'd almost forgotten how much fun it is to just shoot the breeze with him in the woods :)

Friday

Much quieter in the woods than yesterday! This spot was a veritable hive of activity, now there are just a few workmen down the hill, packing up the last porta-johns and stuff.

Warm and humid again, 67F & 90%.

Didn't come to the woods yesterday as we went to the fenced in dog park at Ward Acres with Colin and Maggie instead.

Today I arrive at the woods to find all the parking taken up by a film crew as has happened quite a few times before. But this time they are filming right on my bridge!!!

They were very nice and had me wait until a break in the filming and then ushered Holly and I through, but they had gear piled on the rock where I usually sit to take my daily picture and they ushered us through in a bit of a hurry, so I didn't get to take a picture of the bridge with all the goings on... but I did snap a quick pick from the other side of the bridge and put it on the other blog.

Quite a cool morning, but muggy and warm this afternoon, 68F.

A nice afternoon

What started as kind of a grey morning had turned into a nice day, 65F and mostly sunny with a gentle breeze. I just wish I could get rid of this lousy cold :(

Long Vestry meeting all morning, and we have to rehearse the confirmands who are leading Morning Prayer tomorrow this afternoon, so we've just snuck out for a quick walk in between.

Back in the woods after a day off. We went up to Ossining yesterday with Colin to meet and collect his new rescue dog Maggie (the shelter called her Abby, and for a while she was going to be Abbey, bit this morning Christie announced she's going to be Maggie).

A bit late today coz they came to do the start up for the new AC system in the nursery school- a weird day to do it considering it's only 45F and been raining on and off most of the day.

A busy day with much solemnity at church... a moments decompression with the dog in the woods and then back to clean up a bit before the altar guild come in to do their work tomorrow morning.

Everything is ready back at the Church, so we have a moment to to relax before the intense activity of the next 3 1/2 days. I shall cherish the moments I have out here in the woods as little oases of calm ;)

Weird weather... we had below freezing temps overnight and woke to show on the ground. It's warmed up a bit now (43F) and the snow is gone and the sun is out, but it's supposed to get cold again tonight.

Holly is so happy... I've brought out the tennis ball for the first time in a month. So far so good, she seems fine and went for a dip in the steam to cool off, but we'll take it slowly until I'm sure she's fully back to normal.
