Hot and sticky, 88F.
A bit late today coz of the screw-up on the parish hall floor (long story!).
Back with The Road, things are looking up as they've just found the bunker.
After a lovely week in Vermont we're back. After about 4 1/4 hours in the car (the new car is awesome by the way, handled the trip and the trailer perfectly) Holly needed to reconnect with her woods ;)
Warn and a bit sticky, 79F.
Not quite ready to get back to The Road yet, so random music..
Spent the day running about getting things ready for vacation etc :) The lights are finally working on the trailer from the new car, so we're good to go!
Warm and sunny, 83F, and still quite sticky, the little rain we got didn't do much to clear it... I'm quite looking forward to cool evenings in Vermont ;)
Everything is grey (this book is beautifully written, but boy is it depressing!).
Sunny and sticky and 82F, but after the last couple of days it's almost refreshing, especially when there's a bit of a breeze.
Back in the woods where we should be after major auto negotiations yesterday!
The man and his son eat mushrooms and check the map.
Very close and almost uncomfortable, 85F, but feels like 96 with the humidity.
Just the short loop and then extended time in the stream before I go home and leave Holly in the comfort of the AC while Jackie and I head for the Heffernan's pool (Crisp is working).
Decided to give the audio book of Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" a go. For some reason I never got beyond the first few pages of the dtb...
Another warm one, but still quite pleasant, sunny and 81F.
I finished Good Omens yesterday, and heartily enjoyed it. Martin Jarvis did an excellent job with it, and based on how much I enjoyed it I am now starting to read Terry Pratchett's 40-odd book "Discworld" series on my new Kindle Paperwhite :)
And for now while I'm walking I'm going back to music for a bit... today it's miscellaneous acoustic guitar on Google Play Music.
