Sad to hear of the death of John Noakes this morning, but happy that he is no longer suffering. Another part of my childhood gone- Get down Shep!

Decided to get a book Dad's reading this time... so I've gone for Simon Schama's History of Britain, vol. 1 :)

So far we're taking about Skara Brae in the Orkneys.

A busy weekend- we had a funeral this morning, we have another tomorrow, and then another after church on Sunday! So Holly and I are taking advantage of this lovely weather (sunny, breezy and 57F) to do the long loop as it's going to rain the next couple of days.

Just finished The Pillars of the Earth, really enjoyed it! May do the next in the series, or may do something else as a palate cleanser, will look online when I get home ;)

Absolutely tipping down! I mean rain of almost biblical proportions :) windy too and 53F

I was already wet from having to go up on the church roof to clear a gutter after this mornings funeral, but this phone (Moto G5 Plus) is not quite as waterproof as the last one, so this is taken through the sandwich bag I had it in in my pocket.
