Saxon Woods through the seasons: Friday

I have a ridiculous to-do list for today, but it's nice to have a few minutes out in the peace and quiet of the woods first. Cool and sunny 26°.

What is this?

This is a spinoff of my regular blog www.crispian.photos/blog

If you look at my main blog you will see that I have 2 dogs, Amy Pond- an 18 month old Labrabull who we have just adopted (We lost Holly, our beloved a 17 year old short-haired Border Collie mix earlier this year) & Faith- an 8 year old Chow Crested Staffie mix, who need to be walked at least a couple of miles a day. Most days I take them to Saxon Woods in Mamaroneck and we do a loop of between 2 and 4 miles.

I love the walk around Saxon Woods, and I love watching the change of seasons. So I decided it would be fun to post a picture of the same spot every day on a new blog so I could look back at how the seasons change- and not bore everyone who looks at my regular blog to death! The spot I picked is a bridge over a small stream that we cross whichever loop we do.

There will be gaps- sometimes we go to the other section of Saxon Woods, sometimes we go to the beach or further afield, but most days we cross this bridge and I will try and post a picture. And for the fun of it I may add other details, like the weather, or what music or audiobook etc. is playing on my Pixel 4a at the moment I took the picture (I use Google Play Music and Audible, but have recently been listening to a lot of Radio 4 on the BBC Sounds app).

Most of these pictures will be taken with my phone camera, but I'll try and take some with my better camera fairly regularly too- just click on the pictures to embiggen them.

I took the pictures from the first year of doing this and put them together as a little movie- you can see it here :)
