It was quite a nice day earlier (though we had a dusting of snow first thing!), but it's gotten a bit gray and windy now, 49F.
Jon has an audience with Stannis (though I'm a little confused as he just saw Sam who's supposed to be many miles away!)
Finally a day that feels like spring is here :) It was very cold (down in the 20s) last night, and it's taken a while to warm up today, but now it's a balmy 40F with a nice breeze and lots of sunshine!
Dany discusses opening the fighting pits in Mureen.
30F and snowing gently. I don't think much will stick, but this may put the kibosh on our outdoor processions tomorrow.
Book 5- A Dance with Dragons. Tyrion gets to Pentosh.
Cool and gray, 42F.
Almost at the end of this book, about 11 minutes left; Sam tells his story to the Maesters in Old town.
Another cool, bright day, 34F.
Allaine descends the mountain to find her "father" waiting at the bottom.
A chilly morning has turned into a pleasant afternoon. Cool and breezy and 36F, but sunny and bright too.
The trails are a bit of a mess, but my muddy dog doesn't care :)
Aillene must persuade Lord Robert to descend from the Eyrie.
We got a good 4-5" of snow last night, but it's warm enough today that it won't last long, 38F with weak sunshine.
The Dornish Princess is imprisoned in a gilded tower.
Really? It's 33F and snowing... we're supposed to get 3-6" by the morning!
Cersei prepares to reward the Blue Bard.
Warm but a very blustery wind roaring in the trees, 48F.
Brienne and party spend the night at the Crossroads Inn.
Warm again, 45F, so the melting continues and the going has gotten muddy and treacherous... if you're not careful where you step you break through the snowy crusty into thick, sucking, ankle deep mud!
Brienne and her companions come upon many corpses along their way.
Sunny and breezy but quite pleasant, 41F.
Short loop today as we're heading for Westport this afternoon.
Cersei revels in the news of Loras' victory and probable death.
Another nice, warm, sunny one, 42F. It's that tough time when there's still enough snow for snowshoes, but some areas where it's melted down to the bare dirt and rocks... So I went without today to see how my new LLBean boots will cope- nicely, I'm pleased to report :)
Music today- the new Pink Floyd album, Endless River, Side 1, Part 2. I'm pleasantly impressed... much more like early Floyd, mostly instrumental and with shades of Jeff Wayne and King Crimson :)
