A bit overcast and sticky thid morning, but it has turned into a lovely day, 76F, if still a tad humid.

Just the short loop with no tennis ball coz Holly's still a bit lame and she just won't stop running in circles around the pool.

No book coz I'm filling around with Pokémon Go to see what all the fuss is about ;)

Another hot and humid one. The torrential rain Holly and I got caught in at the end of yesterday's walk (it started when i was 200 yards from the car and I was completely soaked!) Is now all evaporating to make it yucky and humid. It's 81F but feels like 88F right now.

Good thing I've got a pool to go and fall into after this :)

The few minutes of torrential rain we got earlier have just made it more humid, 81F.

Just the short loop so Holly feels she's been in the woods and so I can check on the dam :)

Torrid Tuesday

Just the short loop with no tennis ball today as it's very humid and hot, 85F, after last night's rain; and also because Holly is favoring one front leg a little, so we want to take it easy for a few days.

Warm and sunny and 79F, a perfect day to head over to the Heffernan's and enjoy their hospitality (and pool!). Crisp has the day off and has gone to play D&D with Matt and his gang, and after this Holly will be happy to laze at home until it's time to hide in her crate when the fireworks start ;)

It's all about putting yourself in the other's shoes.

No book as I have just spent a happy hour down at the lower section of the stream starting work on a dam to make a slightly bigger cooling pool for Holly and the other dogs who come to the woods.

Another nice day, a bit warmer and quite still, 84F.

Audible was yelling at me yesterday, saying I had to use up one of my credits, so I picked something kind of on a whim... the 1936 classic, How to Win Friends and Influence People, by Dale Carnegie. It's the daddy of all the self help books and has intrigued me for a while. I'm just in the introduction right now, but who knows- it may change my life ;)

It's turned into quite a nice afternoon from being very muggy earlier. Pretty big though. 81F and mostly blue skies.
