Feels quite a bit colder, 27F but the wind chill in the gusts takes it down to 12F. What was mud and slush yesterday is frozen solid today!

While some sections of the trails are nice and dry, most of it is a sea of slushy snow mixed with sticky mud. A bit cooler too, 37F.

We got about 8-10", it's beautiful now, sunny and 29F but with a gusty wind.

The Confirmation Retreat was unfortunately cancelled, but at least I get to be out here on my snowshoes (after 7 hours of shovelling at the church!).

28F and light snow falling. I already had to clean up the dusting we got overnight this morning, and if this keeps up I may have to do it again tomorrow. I really wish it would just make it's mind up and give us a good dumping rather than these piddling little dustings!

Cool, 29F, and we had another annoying dusting of snow last night; enough that I had to go out early this morning and clear it, but not enough to be called a proper snow event- give me a good foot or two anytime: enough to get my teeth into and then go snowshoeing in!

It's been cooling off all day, 43F now but with a gusty wind. The good news is that the wind has dried off at least the top layer of the mud :)

Holly seems almost back to normal so we're doing a little gentle tennis ball chasing to see how it goes.

Crazy weather!

After a very foggy start this morning Holly and I have snuck out before the weather changes this afternoon - it's 49F now and I'm walking in a T-shirt, but we're supposed to get thunderstorms, flash floods and 60mph winds later!

Slightly longer loop today as we work Holly back, but still no tennis ball. And the mud is, if anything, stickier and slipperier than yesterday!

... In the woods after a day off yesterday to let Holly recuperate. She's pretty much back to normal but I'm not throwing a tennis ball for her for one more day to be sure (and she is not happy about that- she's practically walking backwards in front of me looking expectant).

Well, not by much, it's 21F but there's almost no wind so it feels like a huge difference from yesterday ;)

They are still threatening snow for tonight, but not much, and with it this cold it should be the light, powdery stuff.

Most bracing- Holly is in her Ruffwear coat (that I put on her when it's below about 20F) which fits her so well I call it her "racing colors" because she looks like a skier in one of their form-fitting outfits, and I have my 686 snowboard jacket that I got at a store-closing sale years ago, so we're both pretty snug :)
