New Year's Eve

Last walk of 2025, it has been a bittersweet year, losing Holly but gaining Amy. Hopefully 2026 will not have any bumps in the road like that.

Cool and breezy, 27° but feels much less. The trail has all turned completely to ice, luckily I have my trail crampons and the dogs have their claws.

Back in the snowshoes, though I could probably have got by without them, and it's a little warmer, 27°, so the girls are out of their coats and enjoying romping in the snow!

An absolutely beautiful morning in the woods, dogs in coats, me in snowshoes. Overcast and 24° . 

Not listening to anything, just enjoying the peace! We've met one other person coming the other way so far and that's it.

Boxing Day

Cold and bright, 18°, but the dogs are in warm coats- Amy is never in these pictures, because she's always running ahead!
