We are taking advantage of a break in the rain today, it was torrential this morning and we're supposed to get more thunderstorms later. Overcast, not very humid and 76°.

Chatting with June about everything from radio DJs to Brave New World to the teaching of literature in America.

No picture yesterday, because we had quite an adventure! We got caught about halfway round in a massive downpour thunderstorm, and Holly lost sight of us and disappeared. She has her tracker but I didn't believe it was working because it showed her not moving. So I went around a second time looking for her. Turns out the tracker was working- she was sheltering under someone's porch just off the trail which was why the GPS couldn't get a signal. So all's well that ends well, although it gave us a bit of a scare.

Sunny and bright this morning, though. We had lots of rain overnight and there's more in the forecast for tomorrow, 74F.

Wednesday lunchtime

Just me and Faith today, we're giving Holly the day off.

We now have a tracker for Holly's collar as well and yesterday I thought we would just do a short loop with the girls in the morning and then they would make up their steps running around Robyn's in the afternoon. Faith easily made her usual 15,000 step target and did 18,000 steps but Holly ended up with nearly 38,000! She just can't sit still when there are people around ;) so she's having a rest day today.

Extremely humid this morning, it's only 72° but I'm sweating like anything! Just doing the shortest of loops this morning as we're going over to Robyn's later and bringing the dogs so they will get many many steps running around her garden with her kids!
