Very hot today, 92F right now, down from 96F earlier.

Hopefully Crisp is not completely meeting- the dorms where she is staying are not air conditioned (though the classrooms and lecture halls are).

Very hot and sticky, 90F, even at this late hour, and the bugs are INCREDIBLY annoying tonight!

Went for Crisp's orientation at Purchase today, very good, and she will stay there until Saturday as part of the Success Fellows program. It was very word to drive away and leave her there!

This book is quite dark so far, but good, although I don't know why they had to get another voice to say "chapter 2" etc, it's distracting.

Tuesday

Similar weather to yesterday, warm and sticky and 87F.

New book... The Handmaid's Tale. I've heard lots about it recently, though it's been around for a while, so I thought I'd give it a try. Pretty good so far, though I've just started.

Side rant- why, in the introduction, do they have to say "performed by" Claire Danes? What's wrong with "read by"? Not a huge thing, it just bothered me.

Back in the woods after a couple more days herding the Heffernans pool and everyone in it :)

Quite warm today, 86F and fairly sticky. Back to the church later for the organ concert, hopefully it will be bearable in there.
