Boxing Day

Cooler and feeling a little more like it should, windy and 49F.

Lots of running around at home to get things cleaned up from Christmas and ready for our trip south.

Back in NY and Hobie is upset.

Lots of families out enjoying the unseasonable warmth- I'm in a t-shirt and wishing I'd put shorts on!

68F and very humid, drizzling gently.

Listening to a Beatles playlist on Google Play to celebrate their catalog being released to streaming services today... I had almost everything already uploaded, but what the hey :)

Rainy Festivus

All is set at the church, so I shall go home from here and have a nice nap and an early night :)

A bit cooler, 47F, with a light breeze.

Yellow lab puppy on the bridge that has been playing with Holly for the last 1/2 mile :)

A quick burst of violence, and the picture is back with Theo.

Feels a bit cooler because of the wind, but still unseasonably warm, 56F.

Unreal car ride to the meet with odd details.

Warm and a bit sticky light drizzle, 55F.

A bit late today coz of the new copier.

54F and twilight- this weather is crazy! Almost mid-December and I'm out in shirt sleeves.

Back to the Goldfinch, excitement at the prospect of an evening out with Pippa.

Finishing off "Old Mali and the Boy", I was a bit of a whiney little cur ;)

Tuesday

Cooler and a bit breezy, 45F.

I know I said I'd get back to my book today, but the CDs dad had made of his old reel-to-reel taps arrived yesterday, so I'm listening to my performance (aged 11) in "Old Mali and the Boy".

The quality is surprisingly good- dad must have done a good job recording them, and the guy who transferred then to CD did a very nice job too! And my performance is not as cringe-worthy as I thought it would be to listen to 41 years later- I'm actually pretty good :)

Monday

Walking off my enormous Joe's Crab Shack lunch from our staff shopping day :)

Very pleasant and warm for the time of year, 54F, low sun and no wind to speak of.

After Rubber Soul I'm now listening to Revolver (which was actually the better album), back to The Goldfinch tomorrow.
