After a day of frustrating negotiation over the nursery school playground it's nice to get out into the peace of the woods! Unfortunately we have to go to the wake of a friend's 18 year old son later- terrible.

Well, hot actually- it's sunny and humid and 86F. But we're due storms tonight and it's supposed to be 10F cooler tomorrow.

Just the short loop today, partly coz of the heat and partly coz Holly is still a touch lame (we just did a leash walk around Rye yesterday for the same reason).

Holly has had a great time playing with Violet & Sparrow and the 3 cats, and we've had a fabulous time in the pool, but for all that it was nice to go home today.

Back after a bit of a break to let Holly recover from her crazy running round and round the pool at our party on Saturday. We think she burnt her feet a bit on the hot stones around the pool, but after a couple of days rest and lots of Musher's Wax she seems fine :)

Fun but warm day today for our trip into NYC to the Frick, right now it's 86F.
