It was quite nice for a while earlier, the sun was out and everything. But now the wind has got up and the temperature is set to plummet again. 28F and grey right now.

Snowy Sunday

After shoveling out the church this morning, all the regular Sunday church stuff, and then dealing with the boiler problems, the reward is that the new snow has just freshened up the trails in the woods enough that I can continue on my snowshoes for another day :)

Pretty, snowy woods (again)

Just the short loop today after about 7 hours clearing snow at the church. Cold, 10F!

Yesterday Holly had to make do with a tennis ball in the Rectory back yard and was a bit lame after, we think she twisted an ankle. She seems much better today, but I'm being careful.

More weird weather

This morning at 7am it was 52F and most of the snow had melted, right now it's 38F and falling, tonight we're supposed to get down to 0F with wind-chills around -20F!

Strange weather- we had pouring rain this morning, but as it was below freezing and the ground is so cold it froze on contact and the snow has a thin, shiny layer of ice on it. It's warming up a bit now, it's reached a balmy 30F!

Yesterday the entrance to this side of the woods was still completely unplowed so with nowhere to park we had to go and do the loop on the other side, by the pool.

Today we're back on this side on perfect snowshoe snow in bright sunshine, though it's still quite cold, 21F.

No music, enjoying the crunch of the show :)

Getting colder...

Just a dusting of snow overnight, enough to make it pretty, and 23F.

Tonight we're supposed to get about 8"and blizzard conditions with temps well into the negative numbers. So Holly and I came out to do the full loop on the assumption that tomorrow we either won't get here or I'll be on snowshoes :)
