Snowy Saturday Hi-Res

I had my waterproof, freezeproof Pentax with me in the woods today- so here is a hi-res version of today's picture :) Check out my other blog for some more pics from today in the woods.

Snowy Saturday 2

We looped around and came back over the bridge half an hour later- you can see how hard it's coming down and how much lower the sapling on the right has been bent over by the weight of the snow.

No music as I took out my headphones soon after taking the first picture so I could listen out for branches coming down!

Holly and I kinda played hooky from work this afternoon so we could go for a walk a little early (as we're going out to Q for dinner this evening).

Absolutely pissing down as it has been all day- but it's given me a nice chance to try out the new raincoat I got at the LL Bean outlet last week (this one in red- I think mine is last years model, but it's essentially the same). It's great as it comes down all the way to my knees- the bottom foot or so of my jeans are soaked, but (apart from a little perspiration as it's still quite warm- 61F) the rest of me is nice and dry :)

Back in the woods with Holly after the Confirmation Retreat. I hiked 3 miles with the kids this morning, so I think I've definitely done my duty today with 3 miles with Holly this evening!
