Last day in the woods for a week as we head to Vermont tomorrow :) Mum and dad are in great form, so this is going to be lots of fun!

Finished my book, so I'm flicking around my library on Google Play Music and listening to the first episode of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy- it might be fun to listen to this in the car tomorrow.

Also christening my new Keen hiking sneakers I grabbed from the clearance rack at LL Bean today :)

Warm and sunny, 79F, still a bit sticky though... let's hope it's a little cooler in Vermont.

Getting excited because I'll be leaving soon to go and pick up mum and dad at the airport, and as of 29 minutes ago I'm officially on vacation :)

I am drenched in sweat, but Holly (in her cool coat) is very comfortable and is looking expectantly at me and waiting for me to throw a ball for her!

Our place in the world is described but a huge text file- an interesting concept, so far this is quite good.

An early walk today, partly to beat the heat (it's 75F and humid now, supposedly going up to a heat index over 100F later), and partly coz I have a busy day. I've taken the day off as Crisp has a doctor's appointment in the Bronx this morning and I have a dentist appointment this afternoon.

Praise before criticizing.

Sunny Sunday

Just a tad cooler and less humid, 88F, so we've forgone the cooling jacket; but we'll take it at a leisurely pace with no crashing about after tennis balls.

It is crazy hot! 93F without the humidity. We're doing the medium loop with no tennis ball chasing, and Holly seems very comfortable in her cooling jacket :)

I know I said we'd be doing a few days of leash walks, but today is so beautiful I could not resist coming to the woods- sunny and 81F with low humidity and a lovely breeze :)

I hope I don't regret this, but we're just doing the short loop and no tennis ball!

When you're wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically!

Sultry Sunday

Barely a hint of a breeze and 84F (feels like 93F), so just the short loop and then home. We're done at the Heffernan's today, so Holly can have a break from her racing around the pool :)

A very similar day to yesterday, 85F but feels like a lot more! Just the short loop today so Holly feels like she's been here, she's do more than enough circuits of the pool playing with Robyn's kids to exhaust herself later :)

Update- did the full usual loop (which is nearly 4 miles) without touching the truck or needing to change the battery- and that included some silly rock climbing for the fun of it. This thing is awesome :)

85F but feels like 97F. Just the middle loop today for that reason, Holly's been in the pool, so is running damp, but tomorrow I think k have to put her cooling jacket on!

No book as I'm driving my little rc rock crawler around today for the fun of it :)

Just the short loop with no tennis ball coz Holly's still a bit lame and she just won't stop running in circles around the pool.

No book coz I'm filling around with Pokémon Go to see what all the fuss is about ;)

Another hot and humid one. The torrential rain Holly and I got caught in at the end of yesterday's walk (it started when i was 200 yards from the car and I was completely soaked!) Is now all evaporating to make it yucky and humid. It's 81F but feels like 88F right now.

Good thing I've got a pool to go and fall into after this :)

Just the short loop with no tennis ball today as it's very humid and hot, 85F, after last night's rain; and also because Holly is favoring one front leg a little, so we want to take it easy for a few days.

Warm and sunny and 79F, a perfect day to head over to the Heffernan's and enjoy their hospitality (and pool!). Crisp has the day off and has gone to play D&D with Matt and his gang, and after this Holly will be happy to laze at home until it's time to hide in her crate when the fireworks start ;)
